NDSU Schedules ACSC Sugarbeet Growers Seminars for February 13th, 2024

Sugarbeet growers will have an opportunity to learn more about diseases, weeds, and insect pests during seminars North Dakota State University is hosting on February 6, 13, and 20. All Growers’ Seminars will begin at 8:30 AM.

Seminar schedule:

• Tuesday, Feb. 6 – American Crystal Sugar Co. seminar for growers at the Holiday Inn, Fargo.
• Tuesday, Feb. 13 – American Crystal Sugar Co. seminar for growers at the Alerus Center, Grand Forks.
• Tuesday, Feb. 20 – American Crystal Sugar Co. seminar for growers at the Grafton Armory, Grafton.

The presenters and topics that they will cover are:

• Dr. Mark Boetel, NDSU – Insect Control Challenges and Solutions
• Dr. Thomas Peters, NDSU & University of Minnesota – Weed Control in Sugarbeets
• Dr. Ashok Chanda, University of Minnesota – Sugarbeet Disease Management
• Dr. Nathan Wyatt, USDA-ARS – Cercospora Leaf Spot Epidemiology
• Dr. Eric Branch, NDSU & University of Minnesota – Plant Pathology and Future Directions
